Is it possible to use the 1-Click Capture and Auto-typing features on a mobile device?

Yes, it’s possible now!
Previously, only viewing notes was possible, but with this update (May 2024), 1-Click Capture and Auto-typing are now available on Slid mobile.
Auto-typing has evolved further from the automatic typing of PC Slid. It summarizes the key points of the content in the video.
However,
Slid mobile is currently only available for YouTube videos.
Slid mobile is only possible to create notes with videos, not ordinary text notes. This feature will be updated soon.

How to Use Mobile Slid?

1. Download the Slid Mobile app and Log-In

Download Slid app with QR code or from this link.
* It is a different app from the Slid iPad and is optimized for mobile devices.

Log-in with your existing Slid account.
* Sign-up and Finding passwords are currently only available on PC.

2. Create new notes

Paste YouTube Video Link

Tap the + button at the bottom right and tap the new note.

Paste YouTube video link and tap create button.
* Currently, with the Slid mobile app, you can create video notes only with YouTube links.

3. Show/Hide written note

Tap the Show Notes button on the right side of the screen to check the note.
Tap the Hide Note button to temporarily hide the note and watch video with a big screen.
Tip Use Capture and Auto-typing while keeping the note hidden to stay focused on the video!

4. Video 1-Click Capture

Tap the camera icon on the right side of the video note to capture important screens.
You can capture video even if written notes are hidden, and the captured image will be automatically saved to the note.
Tip Try capturing difficult to handwrite images, tables, drawings, etc.!

5. Use Auto-typing

Tap the Auto-typing button on the right side of the video note to set the results language.
Set the language of the video and the language you want to write in the note, then tap Start Auto-Typing.
Auto-Typing will start directly on the note. If you tap the Typing.. button, it will stop.
Tip1 Try to make it easier to watch non-English videos later by typing notes in English! Tip2 We'll typing non-English videos into the language that you have set!

6. Switch to vertical screen view

On the horizontal screen, tap the Rotate screen icon on the right side of the video note to switch to vertical screen.
Similarly, on the vertical screen, tap the Rotate screen icon below the video to switch to horizontal screen.
The Capture & Auto-Typing is available on all screens.
Tip1 Focus on the video in horizontal screen mode, and focus on note-taking in vertical screen mode! Tip2 Tap the Arrow( ^ ) icon below the video on vertical screen or swipe up to make note bigger!

Please note!

Currently, in the mobile Slid, all features are freely available regardless of plan with the Beta version.
After the Beta testing period, These features may be upgraded to premium features.
Even after the end of the Beta testing period and upgraded to premium features, your notes will not disappear, and you can access them anytime on both mobile and PC.

FAQ

Q. What are the differences from the existing Slid mobile app
While in the existing Slid mobile app, you could only view notes, you can use 1-Click capture and Auto-Typing features with new app.
Since the new app differs from the existing Slid app, you will need to download it.

Q. Is it not available on tablets?
You can download and use the new Slid app on tablets, but since it's currently optimized for mobile, the screen may appear smaller.
For iPads, you can download and use Slid for iPad.
Q. How do you use the automatic voice recording feature available in the PC version on mobile?
The feature that transcribes the voice in the video is currently unavailable on mobile.
Instead, the Auto-Typing for mobile, which summarizes the content for easy understanding, has been newly released and is available on mobile.
Q. Are notes created on mobile and PC compatible with each other?
Notes created in Slid are automatically saved and compatible across mobile, PC, and tablets. You can access anytime.
